Environmental Engineer

Johnson Matthey – West Deptford, NJ

Under the direction of the West Deptford Sr Environmental Compliance Engineer and the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, this position is responsible for the execution of site environmental programs and activities in support of the Chemicals and Refining business.

An employee in this position shall be trained in Discharge Prevention Containment and Countermeasures (DPCC) regulations and are responsible for proper identification and notification of spills and leaks of hazardous substances. Employees assigned to work with Extraordinarily Hazardous Substances (EHS) or processes, as defined within the scope of the New Jersey State Toxic Catastrophic Prevention act (TCPA), must be fully trained and qualified in accordance with State-mandated regulations and company requirements. Additionally, employees assigned to work with hazardous wastes shall be trained and qualified in proper management practices for hazardous wastes that they manage per the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
